About 'car window motor repair'-How do I Fix Automatic Car Windows?
Lets face it, everyone dreads going to the Auto shop to find out what is wrong with their car and how much it will cost them. It could range any where from a thirty dollar oil change to a huge engine problem costing well over 500. No one wants to get an unexpected bill like that. Here are a few tips to hopefully keep those wear and tear bills down, and to just keep your wallet idle. 1. Oil Change: This is the most basic routine maintenance that every car needs. While there has been a lot of speculation on whether it is really needing to be done every 3000 miles now that cars have progressed so much, I still recommend it for many reasons; It gives your car a inspection and gives you a chance to catch things before they could potentially get worse and have gone un-noticed. I don't necessarily think every 3000 miles it is needed I personally would do it around 5000 depending on your driving habits. You know your car better than anyone else though, so you be the judge of when you get your cars little check up. 2. Tires: These are a huge part of your vehicle and at times many of us don't give them the attention they need. Not only do our tires play a gigantic role in our safety on the road it also affects our pockets greatly. Under inflated tires cost us money at the gas pump. If they stay under inflated it could start to cause uneven wear on the tires; This in turn will make you have to replace your tires much faster than the recommended 2-3 years life span they are supposed to have. Or god forbid, it could give you a flat or put you in a very dangerous situation on the road. So making sure they are inflated and properly wearing down can save you big money over time. 3. Filters: Not only do our car filters effect what goes through the engine but it also decides what we breathe in through the air vents as well. Making sure you change your air filters is healthy for both of you and your car. All the filters in your car such as: oil filters and air filters regulate what gets through to your engine. You want to keep as much lose particles out as possible keeping your car running smoother. 4. Spark plugs: These are the key parts of your engine. Without them your car isn't going to move anywhere. Keeping the maintenance up on these can save you big money in the future. The spark plugs are a way for you to see what the inside of your engine is like. You can see if it is dirty, not a good fuel ratio, and many other diagnostic clues just from the spark plugs. They are also a vital part of making your engine fire properly and shift accurately. All of which could end up being very pricey if something should go wrong. Also making sure the spark plug wires are clean and in good shape helps them stay healthy longer. 5. Fluid checks: You can personally check most of your car's fluids yourself very easily. Making sure they are all never low is a key step in maintenance and stopping unnecessary repairs. The oil and transmission both have a dipstick to check, and the other fluids should all have, fill lines, to make sure they are in the right zone. Even the washier fluid has a fill line, and it makes to keep that always filled too. 6. Over Filling: This is a big problem that most of us do to try to pinch those pennies but they could actually be costing us a lot more than we are saving. When we try to fill our gas tanks to the total possible top it is actually hurting our car. First off the excess gas isn't even going into the tank, it is staying at the top and we are burning it off from heat and it is evaporating. And the little bit that gets through has tons of sediments in the gas which is hurting out engine to burn it. Another bad place to over fill is the crankshaft with oil. This will produce air bubbles that will get into your air pump and cause poor circulation and making your engine work even harder and of course burning more gas than needed. 7. Windows: Most cars nowadays have electric windows. This can become very pricey if the motor goes and they have to take your door completely apart to fix the tiny motor inside. A good way to prevent over working your window motor is to spray Armor All on the rubber sides of the windows to make it smoother for the windows to go up and down, in turn keeping your motor from working overtime and eventually needing to be replaced. 8. Clean Car: A clean car is a happy car. Keeping your engine clean and wiping down areas can prevent dirt and grim build up in places that could slow down your engine. Plus having wires and plugs clean could also help you catch if something is cracked or broken, and letting you repair things before something big goes wrong. 9. Parking: Where you park can have a big effect on your car in many different ways. Protection, if the car is in a garage or away from other vehicles there is a less chance of body damage from outside weather or other harmful items that could hit your car. Also if you park in the shade could actually change how much gas you have to fill up. If you park in a cooler area it will give your car less chance being hot enough to evaporate your gas. That's right, your car when hot enough will start to evaporate its gas just by sitting in one spot. 10. Gas: We all want to save money on gas, a few things to remember, tighten the gas cap as much as possible. A lot of times gas will seep out through your gas cap without you even knowing. A big thing most of us don't consider is, don't fill up when you see the tanker filling up your local station. When the tanker is filling up their tanks in the ground it pushes all the sediments to the top and if you pump gas then you are basically pumping tons of loose dirt into your gas tank. I could go on and on about tons of tips to help protect your car from un needed repairs and to make sure it lives a long and happy life. Everything begins with you. Make sure you get under your hood and get familiar with your engine, if you are paying attention you will catch things yourself before they get too bad. Like I said before, you know your car better than anyone so just take a little time and pamper it a little. Happy driving.
