About 'blower fan'-How to Troubleshoot a Furnace Blower Motor That Is Not Turning ...
If your 30 plus inch LCD display is underpowered because you have a measly video card, then this video card is for you. It is the Nvidia GTX 285 graphics card. Inside the box, you will find some pretty standard accessories as far as graphics cards go. You've got your driver CD and manual; you've got a couple of molex to PCI-E adapters; a sound cable that nobody has found a use for; a DVI to VGA adapter and a DVI to HDMI adapter. And in the middle of the box you've got the card itself the EVGA e-GeForce GTX 285. As we can see, it does feature a black shroud over the fan as well as a black PCB. On the back you've got your two DVI ports as well as S-video out and a vent for air. It's Nvidia's fastest GPU card yet. The GTX 285, by its name, is actually very similar to its predecessor the GTX 280. It has 1024MB of GDDR3 RAM and 243 stream core processors. The biggest difference with the GTX 285 lies in the manufacturing process. It is manufactured on a 55 nanometer node as opposed to 65 nanometers. That means higher clock speeds and lower power consumption. So it does come clocked at 648MHz verses the GTX 280 at 602MHz. It's also got 1476MHz on the shaders compared to 1296MHz on the GTX 280. The RAM comes in at a whopping 1.242GHz as opposed to the 1.107GHz on the GTX 280. The GTX 285 is basically like an overclocked GTX 280 but it comes in at a very similar price point so it's a great value. So we have covered Nvidia's contribution to the video card, but we haven't discussed what Nvidia's motherboard partner EVGA brings to the table. EVGA gives you a limited lifetime warranty for which you have to register at their website for their legendary support. They do offer a modder friendly warranty so that means you can take the black blower fan and you can remove it and put your own custom fan without voiding your warranty. They cover overclocking and they also have their step up program. |
