About 'windshield wiper motor replacement'-Giant Blue M&M








How               do               you               leave               your               house               or               apartment               every               day               for               work,               school               or               shopping?

You               probably               hop               in               your               car,               turn               the               key               in               the               ignition,               and               head               out               on               your               way.

There               is               absolutely               nothing               wrong               with               that               scenario               of               starting               your               driving               day               off.

I               have               five               car               care               tips               that               will               insure               that               when               you               do               get               in               your               car               and               get               underway,               your               trip               will               be               safer,               uneventful               and               not               filled               with               stress               or               disappointment.

You               don't               have               to               be               a               trained               auto               mechanic               to               perform               any               of               these               procedures,               and               you               don't               even               have               to               be               adept               at               using               any               tools               -               unless               you               just               like               the               idea               of               having               a               screwdriver               or               socket               wrench               in               your               hand               to               make               you               feel               more               like               Joe               mechanic!

And               with               the               color               coding               done               by               most               auto               manufacturers               these               days,               you               don't               have               to               be               a               rocket               scientist               to               figure               out               where               the               parts               are               that               I'm               going               to               tell               you               about.

Tip               number               one               -               When               refueling               your               car,               make               sure               you               put               the               gas               cap               back               into               place               and               make               sure               that               it               is               attached               securely.

If               you               have               someone               else               pump               your               gas,               don't               blindly               depend               on               them               to               always               replace               your               gas               cap               properly.

If               the               gas               cap               is               not               secured               properly,               many               new               fuel               systems               will               not               operate               correctly               and               while               you               may               be               able               to               drive               away               from               the               service               station               and               get               to               where               you               are               going,               chances               are               that               somewhere               down               the               road,               your               car               is               going               to               start               running               very               poorly               and               in               some               cases,               not               restart               after               you               turn               the               engine               off.

Remember,               the               fuel               system               is               a               sealed               containment               situation               that               operates               most               efficiently               and               correctly               when               it               is               sealed               properly.

And               while               you're               at               it,               after               you               check               to               make               sure               the               gas               cap               is               securely               in               place,               close               the               little               door               that               covers               the               gas               cap               so               it               is               not               wide               open               while               you               are               driving               down               the               road.
               Tip               number               two               -               If               you               or               anyone               else               has               any               reason               to               check               the               fluid               level               in               your               brake               system               reservoir,               be               certain               that               the               reservoir               cap               is               attached               firmly               in               place               once               it               is               determined               that               the               reservoir               is               full.

I               can               guarantee               you               that               you               do               not               want               to               find               out               the               cap               is               missing               or               not               properly               in               place               while               you               are               driving               at               highway               speeds,               and               somebody               cuts               you               off               causing               you               to               hit               your               brake               pedal!

After               you               nearly               put               the               brake               pedal               through               the               floor,               tighten               your               already               white               knuckled               grip               on               the               steering               wheel,               and               suck               in               one               last               deep               breath               while               waiting               for               the               impact               to               occur,               you'll               be               really               sorry               that               you               didn't               perform               the               simple,               no               tools               required               act               of               making               sure               that               reservoir               cap               is               properly               in               place.

This               is               one               of               the               areas               where               auto               manufacturing               color               coding               comes               into               play.

Years               ago,               all               caps               located               in               the               engine               compartment               were               black               -               or               chrome               if               you               were               a               motor               head               and               went               to               an               auto               supply               store               and               got               chrome               replacements               -               so               you               had               to               be               careful               as               to               what               area               you               were               adding               whatever               liquid               to!

All               the               areas               where               fluids               can               be               added               in               my               car,               have               yellow               caps               with               international               symbols               or               recognizable               names               identifying               what               fluid               gets               poured               where.
               Tip               number               three               -               Oil               and               transmission               dip               sticks               need               to               be               "seated"               properly               and               securely               in               place               to               prevent               those               fluids               from               blowing               back               out               the               tubes               into               which               those               sticks               are               placed.

If               these               two               internal               measuring               devices               are               not               properly               pushed               back               into               their               access               tubes               after               those               two               fluid               levels               have               been               checked,               the               pressure               created               within               the               engine               while               operating,               can               easily               push               oil               or               transmission               fluid               back               up               the               dip               stick               tube               and               cause               it               to               spray               all               over               your               engine.

That               would               create               quite               a               smoke               screen               to               come               billowing               out               of               the               engine               compartment               not               to               mention               the               delightful               fragrance               that               would               be               generated               from               such               a               mishap.

Again,               as               with               the               brake               fluid               reservoir               cap,               these               two               devices               would               have               some               sort               of               color               coding               on               them               to               alert               you               to               their               function               or               use.
               Tip               number               four               -               Visually               inspect               your               windshield               wiper               blades               for               wear               and               tear.

if               the               rubber               wiping               portion               of               the               blade               has               nicks               in               it               or               is               cracked               or               torn,               your               windshield               will               not               be               adequately               cleared               when               you               turn               the               wipers               on.

This               is               not               a               good               situation               to               be               in               when               you               need               to               see               where               you               are               in               relation               to               other               traffic               on               the               road!

Replacing               wiper               blades               these               days               is               a               simple,               no               tools               required               procedure               for               most               if               not               all               cars.

Most               wiper               blade               refill               packs               that               you               can               purchase               have               adapter               fittings               that               allow               them               to               be               mounted               on               virtually               any               car               you               could               hope               to               own.

There               is               a               suggestion               on               the               packaging               the               replacement               blades               come               in,               that               a               screwdriver               might               be               needed               to               perform               one               of               the               steps               in               the               removal               of               the               old               wiper               blades               from               the               mounting               arm               on               your               car               but               I               have               never               found               the               need               to               use               a               screwdriver               to               accomplish               the               task.

An               aside               on               the               topic               of               windshield               wipers               -               if               you               have               the               need               to               turn               your               wipers               on               so               you               can               see               what's               going               on               around               you,               you               should               turn               your               lights               on               as               well               so               that               others               on               the               road               will               be               able               to               see               you               better.

Remember,               if               you               need               your               windshield               wipers               operating               so               you               can               better               see               the               highway,               you               should               make               yourself               as               visible               as               possible               so               other               drivers               can               see               you               through               their               sparkling               clear,               streak               free               windshield.
               Tip               number               five               -               Every               man,               woman,               child               and               elected               public               official,               needs               to               be               able               to               add               windshield               washer               fluid               to               their               vehicle!

Next               to               having               wiper               blades               that               are               in               good               condition,               this               washer               fluid               is               the               last               line               of               defense               when               it               comes               to               having               clear               vision               during               sloppy               driving               conditions.

As               with               other               areas               in               the               engine               compartment               to               which               you               can               add               fluid,               the               washer               reservoir               should               have               a               colored               cap               and               it               should               have               a               symbol               or               depiction               of               spraying               raindrops               on               it.

This               is               THE               simplest               thing               to               do               when               it               comes               to               insuring               that               if               your               windshield               gets               smeared               with               road               gunk               splashing               up               from               the               vehicles               around               you,               streaked               with               a               layer               of               ice               on               a               frigid               winter               day               or               plastered               with               the               bodies               of               a               thousand               smushed               bugs               while               driving               out               in               the               country,               when               you               turn               your               wipers               on               and               press               that               little               button               that               sprays               the               proverbial               smurf               juice,               all               that               nastiness               will               be               cleared               from               the               windshield               and               clear               driving               vision               will               be               restored.

One               thing               to               remember,               DO               NOT               just               add               plain               water               to               the               washer               fluid               reservoir               unless               you               are               desperate               to               have               your               windshield               "washed"               and               it               is               summertime.

Washer               fluid               that               you               can               buy               anywhere               has               special               additives               to               prevent               it               from               streaking,               add               to               its               cleaning               capabilities               and               most               important,               not               freeze               during               winter               driving               conditions               when               you               need               it               most.

In               this               instance,               water               -               bad,               washer               fluid               -               good!
               There               you               are,               five               really               simple               things               to               do               or               check,               to               make               sure               that               your               driving               activities               are               more               pleasant               and               worry               free.

You               don't               have               to               pop               your               hood               every               day               before               getting               behind               the               wheel               to               check               the               condition               of               the               brake               fluid               reservoir               or               the               oil               and               transmission               dip               sticks               but               it               would               not               be               a               bad               idea               to               check               them               out               after               anyone               has               had               that               hood               up               for               any               other               reason               -               like               adding               windshield               washer               fluid.

No               tools               required               and               no               special               training               needed               to               take               care               of               5               things               to               make               your               automotive               life               just               a               little               less               problematic.

Now,               don't               get               me               started               on               space               saver               spares               or               where               the               car               makers               hide               fuse               boxes               these               days.

    Nevada               does               have               a               few               incentives               for               people               looking               to               get               an               electric               or               hybrid               vehicle.

    There               are               not               a               lot               of               incentives,               however               the               ones               that               are               offered               are               pretty               good.

    On               the               federal               level               there               is:
                   *               The               alternative               fuel               vehicle               refueling               property               credit.

    This               can               be               a               credit               of               $2,000               to               $50,000               for               the               qualified               cost               of               alternative               refueling               property.

    It               is               a               non-refundable               income               tax               credit.

    It               does               expire               on               December               31,               2010.


                   *               The               new               qualified               plug               in               electric               drive               motor               vehicles.

    There               is               a               income               tax               credit               up               to               $7,500               when               a               new               qualified               electric               drive               vehicle               is               purchased.

    $2,500               is               allowed               for               each               vehicle,               then               there               is               the               $417               for               the               first               5               kilowatt               hours               of               capacity               and               then               another               $417               for               every               additional               kilowatt               hour               of               capacity,               which               comes               to               a               total               of               $5,000.

    The               vehicle               does               need               to               be               purchased               new               and               not               from               resale.

    It               must               be               purchased               new               from               the               manufacturer.

    It               weight               must               be               under               14,000               pounds               and               the               electric               motor               must               do               the               majority               of               the               work               through               use               of               a               battery.
                   On               the               state               level               there               is:
                   *               An               electric               vehicle               that               is               a               taxi               cab               is               given               a               life               extension.

    A               taxi               cab               may               stay               bin               service               two               years               longer               then               the               regular               fueled               taxi               cabs.​               The               electric               taxi               cab               is               allowed               to               stay               in               service               for               twenty               four               months,               compared               to               the               standard               limits               that               state               that               a               taxi               cab               can               operate               for               sixty               seven               months               when               it               is               new               of               fifty               five               months               when               it               is               a               used               taxi               cab.


                   *               The               authorization               of               the               high               occupancy               vehicle               or               HOV               lane               exemption.

    Drivers               can               use               the               HOV               lane               regardless               of               how               many               people               are               actually               in               the               vehicle.


                   *               An               exemption               of               hybrid               and               electric               vehicles               that               are               less               than               five               years               old,               they               are               exempt               from               the               emissions               program               in               both               Clark               County               and               Washoe               County.
